All Basketball rules and violations will be governed by North Carolina High School Athletic Association rules. The following exceptions apply:

Free Throws: Players can attempt to rebound a Free throw once the ball has been released from the shooter’s hands.

Time: There will be two (2) 20-minute halves with a running clock. The clock will stop during the last minute of the first half and in the last two minutes of the second half. If there is a 20 point lead, clock will run at the end of these periods.

Time Outs: Each team will receive three (3), thirty (30) seconds timeouts.

Fouls: Individual and team fouls will be reported beginning with game one. Each player will be allowed five personal fouls per game. Team fouls will be recorded. Technical fouls count as personal fouls to a player. ONE technical foul on a player or coach will result in the ejection of that player or coach and a one game suspension. The bonus will be in effect on the 7th team foul. The double bonus will be rewarded on the 10th team foul.

Forfeits: Teams scheduled to play and do not have 5 eligible players 10 minutes after the schedule game time will forfeit the game. Officials are required to officiate ANY game that is not recorded as an official game once majority of the players are members of the teams scheduled to play.

Add/Drop Players: NO players can be added to the team roster after the 2nd league game!!! All registered players must play in a minimum of 4 games to be eligible to play in the Play-offs.

Disciplinary Actions: League Directors or game supervisor will have the authority to dismiss a player from a game or the league temporarily or permanently. PLAYERS or FANS who may be verbally abusive or disrespectful to officials or other fans and players during game time will be asked to leave the gym for the remainder of the game and possibly suspended for the rest of the season.

Defense/Offense: ZONE defense is allowed in form; (1.3.1, 2.3, 3.2, box and 1 etc). Full court press is allowed at any time during the game. If a team is up by 20 points or more, PRESSING IS DISALLOWED!

Overtime: If game is tied at the end of regulation, there will be a two (2) minute overtime period where both teams are granted one (1) extra timeout.
